Description
This rosé with a strong and fruity character takes its name from the city Rutula or Volsca, which was included by Pliny the Elder among the 53 communities that made up Ancient Lazio. Albìola, in fact, represents one of the oldest settlements in primitive Lazio, perhaps belonging to the Latin League, which arose at the time of the second phase of Lazio civilization, approximately in the 9th century BC. and having, in its early days, the same importance as Rome.
Produced mainly with Syrah grapes (85%) and a fraction of Sangiovese grapes (15%)*. It is obtained according to the "saignée" or bloodletting technique, which consists in draining from the winemaker, after a cold maceration phase on the skins (8-10° C.), a part of the must, which is then fermented separately . Fermentation takes place at around 18° C. and lasts for 8-10 days in stainless steel tanks.
The result is a very rich rosé, with great character, with fruity and floral hints typical of rosés, but with a structure that is close to that of a red. It presents itself with strong purple nuances, an intense bouquet, with hints of small berries with a predominance of raspberry and red fruit. In the mouth it shows great consistency with a long and fruity finish.
The Albarola Rosato Lazio IGT from Casale del Giglio is ideal to enjoy with a seafood soup with fresh tomatoes or with mixed cold cuts. Buy online on arswine.it and enjoy a wine with an ancient flavour, which represents one of the oldest settlements in primitive Lazio.
