Description
The "Riserva Runcot" is the legendary and majestic Barolo produced by the Elio Grasso winery only in the most favorable years. Aged for 7 years between oak barrels and bottles, it reveals a very intense and broad bouquet, with notes of plum, violet, aromatic and balsamic herbs, sweet spices, toasting and nuances of truffle. Power and elegance, softness and freshness, length and delicacy simultaneously describe a memorable taste!
The Barolo DOCG Riserva Rüncot by Elio Grasso is a red wine of great elegance and structure, produced with Nebbiolo grapes grown in the Piedmont region. Its color is an intense garnet red. On the nose it opens with fruity notes of cherry, plum and raspberry, accompanied by spicy hints of vanilla, black pepper and liquorice. On the palate it is enveloping and soft, with elegant tannins and a long tasting persistence. A wine with a strong character, which embodies the soul of the territory in which it is produced.
The vinification of Barolo Rüncot involves alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, with daily pumping over. Once the malolactic fermentation has taken place, the wine is refined in French oak barriques. After bottling, normally in August, Barolo Rüncot rests in the cellar for 18-24 months before being marketed.
