Testarossa Rosso by Pasetti is a high quality red wine, belonging to the company's flagship line, which perfectly summarizes the family philosophy of wanting to remain linked to traditions and history.
The wine is produced 100% with Montepulciano d'Abruzzo grapes from vineyards with a density of 5200 vines/ha, with a yield of 100 q/ha. The harvest is carried out manually in boxes at the end of October and the beginning of November.
The winemaking process involves maceration and fermentation in steel for 8-10 days, with selected yeasts at a controlled temperature of 24-26°C. MLF occurs spontaneously. Subsequently, the wine is aged for 6 months in steel, 24 months in 1st-3rd passage French oak barriques and 12 months in the bottle.
Testarossa Rosso has a deep ruby red color and offers hints of ripe red fruit, dried violets and undergrowth such as plums, black cherries and strong tertiary aromas of eucalyptus, licorice, strong>chocolateand tobacco. In the mouth, the wine is warm and robust, with elegant tannins, good structure and long persistence.
This wine goes perfectly with rich and structured dishes cooked for a long time such as red meats, game and very mature cheeses, but it can also be enjoyed alone as a meditation wine in a suitable glass and at the right temperature.
