Description

The Valpolicella Ripasso DOC Classico Superiore - Scriani is a wine of great refinement and power, which combines the freshness of Valpolicella with the depth of Amarone, offering a symphony of fruity and spicy aromas, ideal for accompanying your richer and tastier dishes.

This red wine stands out for its intense ruby color which anticipates a complex and refined aromatic bouquet. On the nose, notes of undergrowth, black cherries and ripe plums are immediately perceived, accompanied by subtle spicy nuances that give depth and character.

Produced following the traditional "Ripasso" method, this wine is refermented on the pomace of Amarone and Recioto, a process that enriches the Valpolicella Classico with more intense aromas, greater structure and a more robust body . The result is a wine that combines the elegance of Valpolicella with the power of Amarone, creating a perfect balance between freshness and intensity.

Aged for several months in 26 hectoliter oak barrels, the Valpolicella Ripasso Scriani benefits from a maturation that enhances its tannic structure and makes it particularly long-lived. After refinement in the barrel, the wine rests further in the bottle, developing its aromatic nuances even further.

On the palate, this wine is complex and enveloping, with a tannic structure that is clearly present but never intrusive. The notes of ripe red fruit such as black cherries and plums blend with light sensations of sweet spices and tobacco, offering a taste experience that evolves sip after sip. The 14% ABV alcohol content adds heat, making it perfect for robust, flavorful dishes.
