Red from short maceration
Brio is our crunchy red, 30% vinified with carbonic maceration of the red grapes for approximately 12 days in a concrete tank. It is obtained with a part of the grapes harvested prematurely from 60/70 year old plants. The remaining 70% of the grapes are harvested 10 days later, destemmed and macerated for approximately 2 weeks and finally vinified in 1500 l acacia cones. After racking, the two masses are assembled and aged together for almost a year in steel tanks and at least 2-3 months in bottles before sale. Unfiltered.
