Description

Classic method sparkling wine from Gaglioppo grapes, which takes its name from our estate located between Rocca di Neto and Casabona. The name literally means "rose of the Neto", our river that carves the valley of the same name.

Gaglioppo

Typical of Cirotano, it is the most important red grape variety in the region both in terms of tradition and quantity. Base of red and rosé Cirò Doc, but also of other Calabrian wines. It lends itself to various interpretations: from traditional rosés, fresh and fruity but with character, to medium-bodied reds, good acidity and great complexity. In variations with longer macerations, greater structure and great longevity are obviously obtained. The typical scents are those of small red fruits, morello cherries, dried flowers and liquorice.

Calabria

Librandi

Eastern Calabria was the site of a thriving civilization, originating from Greek colonization.

It was Enòtro, prince of Arcadia, after landing on our shores at the beginning of the eighth century, who very wisely ruled the fate of the first of all the Greek colonies that settled on the Ionian shores. The work of Enòtro and his people, largely made up of expert winemakers, was so appreciated that the Greeks identified these areas with the name of "Enotria Tellus", or "Land of Wine".
