Description
Testarossa Rosso di Pasetti is a high-quality red wine, belonging to the company's flagship line, perfectly summarizing the family philosophy of wanting to remain tied to traditions and history.
The wine is produced 100% with Montepulciano d'Abruzzo grapes from vineyards with a density of 5200 vines/ha, with a yield of 100 q/ha. The harvest is carried out manually in crates at the end of October and the beginning of November.
The winemaking process involves maceration and fermentation in steel for 8-10 days, with selected yeasts at a controlled temperature of 24-26°C. The FML occurs spontaneously. Subsequently, the wine is aged for 6 months in steel, 24 months in French oak barriques of 1st-3rd passage, and 12 months in bottle.
Testarossa Rosso shows a deep ruby red color and offers aromas of ripe red fruit, dried violet, and undergrowth such as plums, sour cherries, and pronounced tertiary aromas of eucalyptus, licorice, chocolate, and tobacco. On the palate, the wine is warm and robust, with elegant tannins, good structure, and long persistence.
This wine pairs perfectly with rich and structured dishes with long cooking times such as red meats, game, and very aged cheeses, but can also be enjoyed alone as a meditation wine in a suitable glass and at the right temperature. In any case, Testarossa Rosso will give you a unique and unforgettable sensory experience.
To preserve the organoleptic characteristics of the wine, it is recommended to serve it at a temperature between 16 and 18°C and to consume it preferably within 15 years from the harvest.
