Description

Ghd wine derives from the pure vinification of the Ciliegiolo grape variety. The grapes used for production come from a particular plot called "Vigna Luna", located in a unique area for its beauty and microclimate, which is located between the Ligurian Sea and the Apuan Alps, at a distance of 3 km from the sea and 15 km from the mountains.

Cherry trees surround the remains of the ancient city of Luni and its Roman amphitheatre. Thanks to the sandy, loose soil and the warm, ventilated climate in the vineyard, the red wine produced is characterized by a natural pleasantness and freshness. The vinification takes place in steel with a short period of maceration on the skins in the cellar. The result is a red wine, called Ciliegiolo, which is characterized by its good alcohol content and a good dose of freshness, equipped with a ripe and silky tannin and a balance between acidity and flavor.

The fruity notes of cherry, blueberries and raspberries, together with floral and balsamic hints, accompanied by a light touch of black pepper, complete its aromatic profile. The color of the wine is a ruby red of medium intensity, while the finish is juicy and of medium-long persistence.

The denomination of origin of the wine is Liguria di Levante i.g.t. Ciliegiolo, while its production takes place through a vinification process that involves 3 days of maceration on the skins, followed by fermentation and refinement in steel.

Liguria

Lunae

What we are: a family, a history, a tradition
The winemaking tradition of this land has its roots in a thousand-year history, already in 177 BC. a Roman colony was founded at the mouth of the river Magra and called "Portus Lunae". Pliny the Elder, in his work "Naturalis Historia" wrote about the wine of this place: "Etruriae Luna palma habet..." (65 AD): "...of Etruria, the one from Luni has the palm tree...". This was the origin and inspiration for choosing our name, embodying all the principles that have guided and still guide the work in the vineyard and in the cellar. The Bosoni family has in fact always been linked to this territory. For four generations, for work and by vocation we have been doing three things: we cultivate the vineyard, we produce wine and we preserve the culture of our territory.
