Piemonte

Elio Grasso

Elio Grasso is a famous Italian wine producer, best known for his wines produced in the Barolo area, located in the Piedmont region. The Elio Grasso winery was founded in the 1970s by Elio Grasso, who began producing high quality wines using grapes grown on the family estate located in Monforte d'Alba.

Today the winery is managed by Elio Grasso's daughter, Chiara, who has inherited her father's passion for the production of high quality wines. The winery produces some of the best Barolos in the region, such as the Barolo Gavarini Vigna Chiniera and the Barolo Ginestra Casa Matè.

Elio Grasso's production philosophy is based on the use of sustainable cultivation techniques and on the valorisation of the terroir, or the territory in which the grapes are grown. Furthermore, the winery only uses grapes from its own vineyards, in order to have total control over the quality of the final product.
