Description

Chardonnay, Inzolia and Viognier, an intriguing blend of white grapes which, in combination, give life to a complex and enveloping expression that enhances an entirely Sicilian fruit, rich in aromas and hints. It is the aromatic varieties of Western Sicily that bring their fragrances, blending into a web of perfumes of captivating pleasure. The fresh fruit and balsamic hints of inzolia are completed with the memory of dried cricket flowers against the background of notes of jasmine, apricot, peach and honeysuckle brought by Viognier.

In the glass this blend surprises with its delicate sorbability and interesting minerality, a remarkable balance obtained upstream, conceived and desired right from the vineyard, through agronomic management attentive to the needs of each individual plant, to the ventilated exposure of the soft slopes of the Borgo Guarini estate, located in the heart of the Trapani countryside.

Una viticoltura di alta montagna immersa in piena fascia solare. Un mix di condizioni così particolare che fa della viticoltura dell’Etna un laboratorio naturale al servizio dell’eccellenza. Su un totale di 84 ettari spalmati sui versanti del quadrante nord del vulcano, con vigneti esposti su ampi terrazzamenti ma anche sui fianchi di antiche sciare di lava, Firriato ha sviluppato un progetto di recupero e di valorizzazione unico in tutto il territorio dell’Etna. Un vigneto prefillossera, un antico casale con due palmenti seicenteschi, e vigneti che salgono le pendici su altezze variabili, dai 650 sino a oltre i 950 metri sul livello del mare.
