Description

Perfect for a refined aperitif, a summer dinner outdoors, or a lunch featuring fish and shellfish. Ideal also for toasting a special occasion with a wine of distinct elegance.

Year and Climate Trends The 2021 vintage saw a cold winter followed by a regular spring. However, a sharp drop in temperatures in April reduced production without compromising the quality of the grapes, causing a vegetative delay of about two weeks. The month of May was cool and had little rain, while the summer offered sunny days with good temperature variations, favoring the optimal ripening of the clusters. Thanks to the nice weather from August onwards, it was possible to carefully select the best grapes and harvest them at the ideal moment to maximize the expression of varietal aromas. The harvest, although with reduced production, ensured exceptional quality and began in the third week of August.

Winemaking After the harvest, the grapes were destemmed and gently pressed. The must, kept in contact with the skins at 10 °C for 2-4 hours, underwent a short maceration to enhance its aromatic profile. After clarification in stainless steel tanks, the alcoholic fermentation took place at 16-18 °C, divided between wood and steel. Only the portion aged in wood underwent malolactic fermentation. Finally, the wine was blended and bottled to preserve its elegance and freshness.

Origin and History Bramìto is born in the vineyards of the Castello della Sala, near Orvieto. The Chardonnay, grown in soil rich in fossil sediments with clay infiltrations, expresses remarkable minerality and elegance in this terroir. The first Vintage of Bramìto dates back to 1994.
