Nussbaumer Tramin is the ultimate expression of the Italian Gewürztraminer style and is the most awarded white wine in Italy.
White wine with a deep straw yellow color with golden reflections. On the nose it offers a surprising olfactory kaleidoscope of floral notes of rose petals, spicy white flowers such as lily, ylang ylang, tiare; exotic notes of ripe yellow fruit, melon, mango, passion fruit, lemon peel; aromatic spices such as cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, ginger, saffron. On the palate it is full-bodied, deep, spicy and juicy, with an intense aroma and freshness and a marked minerality that is accentuated with aging, making it even more seductive and with an extremely persistent finish.
The grapes are harvested entirely by hand and placed in small containers that keep them intact. After pressing, the must is left to macerate briefly and is followed by immediate soft pressing. Fermentation takes place in small steel containers at a controlled temperature (18°C) with racking of the must for natural sedimentation.
The wine is matured in small steel containers, in continuous contact with the yeasts until the end of August. After bottling, the wine is left in the bottle for a minimum of 3 months for further maturation, bringing the overall aging period to a minimum of 14 months.
Nussbaumer Tramin pairs perfectly with fish dishes, sushi and summer salads. Also ideal as an aperitif or to be enjoyed in the company of friends.
