Description
The Cabernet Franc of the Ars Magna line is a wine inspired by Raymond Llull's medieval work, the "Ars Magna", representing the greatness, strength and importance of this grape variety. Grown in a specific plot of clay loam soil, located on the outer edge of our "amphitheatre" overlooking the sea, this Cabernet Franc reaches an excellent and rare grape ripeness. The combination of different Cabernet Franc clones and rootstocks, planted according to the characteristics of the soil and the hill dedicated to this variety, together with the careful manual care in the vineyard, make this label from the Ars Magna line a true revelation.
The grape harvest takes place manually, with a careful selection of the bunches, followed by destemming and sorting of the berries. The selected grapes undergo a cold pre-fermentative maceration for approximately 48 hours, followed by fermentation at a controlled temperature, partly in stainless steel tanks and partly in wooden vats, with a subsequent maceration on the skins for 10-15 days. After malolactic fermentation, which takes place in oak barrels, the wine ages in wood for approximately 18-22 months with frequent bâtonnage. Subsequently, it is aged in the bottle for at least 18 months.
The color of Cabernet Franc Ars Magna is an intense ruby red, while on the nose you can recognize notes of currant, blueberry jam, juniperwith an elegant nuance of sweet spices and white pepper. In the mouth you can appreciate its excellent freshness and persistence, with elegant tannins and a finish reminiscent of chocolate and coffee.
This wine is obtained 100% from Cabernet Franc grapes, an excellent Bordeaux variety which, thanks to the particular characteristics of the soil and the careful cultivation and winemaking practices, is expressed to the fullest of its potential in the Ars Magna line. The nobility of soul of this variety is reflected in its organoleptic profile, giving tasters a unique sensorial experience.
