Description
Lucente is a Tuscany IGT red wine, the result of a careful selection of vineyards at Tenuta Luce, chosen for their particular suitability for producing a wine with a fruity profile and great drinkability; like Luce, it is made from a blend of Sangiovese and Merlot, with Merlot prevailing in the blend.
LUCENTE 2022
The 2022 Vintage began with a sunny, cold winter, slightly slowing budbreak: late March for Sangiovese and early April for Merlot. Then, the warm, dry spring helped make up for lost time, with perfect flowering between May and June. Summer played hide-and-seek, bringing some refreshing rain between July and August and helping the vines grow strong and healthy. The harvest began on August 28 with Merlot and ended in late September with Sangiovese, beneath consistently clear skies and ideal temperatures.
TASTING NOTES
In the glass, Lucente displays a ruby-red color. On the nose, it expresses the sunny character of the Vintage, with notes of pomegranate, blackberry, and violet merging with elegant spicy nuances. On the palate, the entry is enveloping and balanced, supported by pleasant freshness and perfectly ripe tannins, which provide a savory, vibrant finish.
