Description

Vermentino is Sardinia's most modern grape variety, part of its heritage for over four hundred years. The Pala family has been cultivating Vermentino since 1950, always using only the same clone, reproduced and adapted to the limestone hills overlooking the sea of the Gulf of Cagliari. Soprasole is the reflection of this land of brilliant light, white cliffs and emerald vineyards, like the waters of its sun-kissed sea. It is a wine that evokes memories of scented walks on the beach, of memorable evenings illuminated by midnight blue full of sparkles and lights. Soprasole is the elegance and glamor of the most beautiful evenings, it's like closing your eyes and finding yourself in Sardinia.

The Soprasole Vermentino Di Sardegna DOC - Pala must is obtained from the soft pressing of the grapes, followed by an initial cleaning and the addition of selected yeasts. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats at a constant temperature of 15°C. After a light clarification, the wine rests for a few months in stainless steel vats before bottling.

Straw in color with greenish reflections, Soprasole Vermentino Di Sardegna DOC - Pala is brilliant and has an intense and persistent aroma with floral and vegetal notes, including the linden and balsamics. On the palate, the vegetal notes stand out, with a warm taste, full of good depth and balanced, and a long taste persistence.

Pairings: This white wine pairs perfectly with seafood dishes, fish with delicate meat seasoned with light sauces, and dry or broth soups with not excessively tasty seasonings. It is recommended to serve it at a temperature of 10-12°C, opening the bottle at the time of tasting.

Sardinia

Pala

Pala, the family vines since 1950
The Pala Agricultural Company has its roots in the land of Sardinia, passed down from father to son continuously for four generations. In these traditional places, in these solitudes and silences, in 1950, with the first harvest, this extraordinary adventure began and continues today under the guidance of Mario Pala and his family.

Mario, the third generation of the Pala family always dedicated to vines and wine, is now supported in cellar work and business decisions not only by his long-standing and respected collaborators but also by his wife Rita and their children Massimiliano, Maria Antonietta, and Elisabetta. Tradition certainly has a future thanks to the enthusiasm that, once again, for the fourth time, the family and Mario are set to pass on. A tradition that continues with great enthusiasm and a strong desire to succeed from everyone involved, maintaining the sober style that only those passionately devoted to the vineyard possess.
