Description

The Harmonium Sicilia D.O.C. di Firriato represents the quintessence of Sicilian Nero d'Avola, obtained from three distinct crus of the Borgo Guarini estate: Ferla, Lepre and Beccaccia.

After 15 years of research and microvinifications, Firriato has selected the best vines from three different mass selections of Nero d'Avola, creating a unique blend of its kind.

With a dense and deep ruby color with traces of violet, this wine opens with an intense and complex aromatic bouquet, characterized by notes of morello cherry, berries, rhubarb and liquorice, enriched by hints of cloves, aromatic herbs and plum. In the mouth it is suave and soft, with velvety tannins and a great Mediterranean personality, which is expressed in a harmonious balance between power and elegance.

Harmonium is aged for 12 months in French and American oak barriques, followed by a further 20 months of bottle ageing, giving the wine complexity and structure. Perfect to accompany red meat dishes and mature cheeses, this wine is ideal for important dinners and moments of celebration, offering an unforgettable wine experience.

A high mountain viticulture immersed in the sun. Such a particular mix of conditions that makes Etna viticulture a natural laboratory at the service of excellence. On a total of 84 hectares spread across the slopes of the northern quadrant of the volcano, with vineyards exposed on large terraces but also on the sides of ancient lava flows, Firriato has developed a recovery and valorization project unique in the entire Etna territory. A pre-phylloxera vineyard, an ancient farmhouse with two seventeenth-century millstones, and vineyards that climb the slopes to variable heights, from 650 to over 950 meters above sea level.
